Are you an enthusiastic Commis Chef who loves a busy breakfast service?
We're looking for a
Casual Commis Chef
to join our kitchen teams across
Cottage Kitchen in North Adelaide and Culshaw's Restaurant at Majestic Roof Garden Hotel
.
This is a great opportunity for a chef who enjoys working in a professional, fast-paced environment and wants the flexibility of casual employment, with the potential to pick up additional hours as your experience and availability grow.
What we're looking for
A la carte breakfast experience is ESSENTIAL.
You'll need to be confident working through a busy breakfast service and able to hit the ground running from an early start.
As a Commis Chef, you'll work alongside our kitchen team to support the preparation and service of food.
This will include:
Food preparation and mise en place
, including preparing ingredients and ensuring your section is ready for service.
Breakfast and restaurant service
, including cooking and plating dishes to our required standards and assisting with function service when required.
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe kitchen
,



including following food safety and hygiene requirements and completing general kitchen duties.
Working as part of the wider kitchen team while also being comfortable
working autonomously
and taking responsibility for your section.
You will also need to:
Be
available for 6:00am starts – ESSENTIAL
Have
availability on Monday and Sunday mornings – ESSENTIAL
Be able to work
autonomously
and confidently manage your section
Have a positive, team-focused approach
Be reliable and committed to delivering a consistently high standard of food and service
Function experience is advantageous
, but not essential
