RAC Auto Services operates more than 10 centres across metropolitan Perth, providing secure employment, guaranteed working hours and clearly defined start and finish times.
We are now seeking an experienced and motivated automotive technician to lead the workshop team at our Myaree Auto Service Centre.
About The Role
As Workshop Team Leader, you will lead, support and develop a skilled team of automotive technicians while helping to ensure the workshop operates safely, efficiently and to RAC's high standards.
This is a hands-on leadership position suited to an accomplished technician who enjoys solving complex problems, sharing knowledge and bringing out the best in others.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading, inspiring and mentoring the workshop teamCoordinating daily workflow and allocating jobs effectivelyConducting quality inspections and supporting accurate fault diagnosisEnsuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a consistently high standardMaintaining compliance with safety, licensing and regulatory requirementsManaging competing priorities and resolving day-to-day workshop issuesCreating a positive, collaborative and supportive team environment

What are we looking for?
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
A recognised automotive technician qualificationA current C-class driver's licenceA current Motor Vehicle Repairer's LicenceStrong experience in vehicle servicing, repairs and diagnosticsThe ability to motivate, mentor and support technicians with different levels of experienceExcellent organisational and workload-management skillsA calm, practical approach to problem-solving and conflict resolutionA genuine commitment to safety, quality workmanship and customer service
Previous leadership experience will be highly regarded; however, applications are also encouraged from experienced technicians who are ready to take the next step into a formal leadership role.
