The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Roving Safety Advisor to join our dynamic team.
This role is critical in ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, and compliance across multiple mining services projects in the Kalgoorlie region.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting directly to the HSET Superintendent, this role will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Providing onsite field support and advise to site leaders and their wider operations and maintenance teams on all HSET matters;
Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards;
Complete and/or ensure audits and inspections are undertaken in accordance with site and legislative requirements;
Lead and assist with incident investigation and ensuring effective management of corrective and preventative actions within agreed timeframes;
Capturing, measuring, and reporting on company HSET performance specifically with regard to lead and lag indicators;
Delivery of field-based training including equipment & tooling VOC's,
move and test, area-specific / site inductions, risk assessment and hazard awareness training, and any other field-based training as required;
Maintain training matrices and effectively communicate any notable updates or changes to site management;
Work closely with site leaders to integrate HSE considerations into operational project planning and execution;
Actively support the development and monitoring of the company's HSET Management System;
Assist in the development, implementation, maintenance and improvement of HSE policies, procedures, notices, tools and templates;
Assist with the planning and implementation of health and safety improvement initiatives, as directed by the HSET Manager.
About You:
C Class Driver's License
Bachelors, Diploma or Cert.
IV in OH&S;, or equivalent
Certificate IV Training & Assessment
Minimum 2 years' experience in a safety advisor role within mining or a related industry
Working knowledge of relevant OH&S; legislation
Proficient with various risk assessment & incident investigations tools/processes
MYOSH experience, advantageous but not essential
Have well-developed interpersonal and verbal communications skills
Are able to work cohesively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and obtain a National Police Check
