Fenner Conveyors part of the Michelin Group is the world leader in providing engineered conveyor solutions for mining and industrial applications.
We offer a range of products and services from the design and supply of complete conveyor material handling solutions through to service, installation maintenance and diagnostics services
This position is responsible for the evaluation and testing of raw materials to be used in the manufacture of conveyor belt as well as examination and testing of belt where quality issues arise to ensure the production of quality products
Job responsbilities:
Operate equipment used in rubber compound mixing such as the Mixer, Convex Extruder and Automatic palletising
Operate the automatic chemical weighing and bagging system
Forklift driving, storage and preparation of raw material and finished product
Daily checks of the machinery safety system to ensure that it is always in an operational and safe condition
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency and product quality
Operate in accordance with environmental management standards
Check and maintain cleanliness and orderliness around machinery and operating points
Who we're looking for:
Pre employment medical, laboratory drug and alcohol test, blood screening for baseline measurements
We're looking for motivated individuals with attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety
Experience within a heavy industrial manufacturing environment
Experience operating plant and machinery
Hold full working rights in Australia
A valid Australian driver's licence
Hold a forklift ticket
Commit to a 12-month fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension
Roster:
Available to work a rotating shift pattern: 2 weeks day shift (Monday–Thursday), 2 weeks night shift (Monday–Thursday), followed by 2 weeks weekend shift (Thursday–Sunday)
