Employment Status:

The Opportunity:
We are seeking reliable and motivated couples to join our remote community stores as
Casual Store Allrounders.
This is a great opportunity for a couple who enjoy working together and are looking for a unique experience working and living in remote Western Australia.
As a Store Allrounder, you will support the day-to-day operation of the community store and play an important role in providing a welcoming, reliable and well-maintained retail service to the local community.
You will work as part of a small team and may be involved in a variety of duties across the store, including customer service, stock handling, cleaning, merchandising and general store operations.
In addition, your responsibilities will include:
Provide friendly and respectful customer service to community members and visitors.
Operate the point-of-sale system and process cash and EFTPOS transactions accurately.
Receive, unpack, check and rotate stock.
Assist with stock replenishment, merchandising and maintaining appropriate stock levels.
Keep the store, storage areas and surrounding areas clean, safe and organised.
Assist with food preparation and other general store duties as required.
Follow food safety, workplace health and safety and store procedures.
Assist with stocktakes and monitoring stock for damage, waste or expiry.
Support the Store Manager and other team members with daily operations.
Work respectfully with community members and colleagues from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Undertake other reasonable duties to support the effective operation of the store.
About You:
We are looking for reliable,
hardworking and adaptable couples who are comfortable working and living together in a remote environment.
You do not necessarily need extensive retail experience; we are interested in people who demonstrate a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and the ability to contribute across a range of store duties.
Ideally, you will have:
Previous experience in retail, hospitality, customer service, warehousing or a similar environment.
Valuable communication and interpersonal skills.
A strong customer service focus.
The ability to work effectively as part of a small team.
Good attention to detail and an organised approach to work.
The ability to work independently and take initiative.
A willingness to undertake a variety of duties as required.
A respectful and culturally sensitive approach when working within a remote Aboriginal community.
The ability to adapt to remote living and working conditions.
Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new systems.
A current driver's licence is desirable but not essential.
As this opportunity is specifically suited to a couple who are interested in working and living together on the Ngaanyatjarra Lands, you will need to be supportive of each other, communicate well and work collaboratively as part of the wider store team.
Both individuals will be expected to contribute to the day-to-day operation of the store and maintain a positive, professional and respectful approach.
What We Offer:
Purpose-Driven Environment:
Experience a work culture that prioritises purpose and provides a deep sense of fulfilment, aligning with values that matter to you.
Flights and Accommodation:
Flights and accommodation will be provided to you to allow for a seamless transition into your recent role, ensuring that you can focus on making a positive impact from day one.
Competitive Salary & Remote Allowance:
Enjoy a competitive salary package with additional benefits including remote area incentives.
Meaningful Work:
Contribute to impactful projects and be part of a non-profit organisation where your work truly makes a difference.
Please note: both members of the couple must apply for the position and provide their own resume.
When applying, please combine both resumes into ONE document and upload them as a single file with your application.
