We are seeking a passionate and dedicated
Teacher of Humanities
to join our agile Secondary School team for a fixed-term long service leave cover position during Term 1, ****.
Reporting to the Head of Humanities, the successful candidate will be an innovative educator with a proven ability to engage and inspire students across Years 7-10, delivering a high-quality, future-focused Humanities curriculum.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a collaborative and enthusiastic department committed to academic excellence and student growth.
As part of our Secondary School community, you will create engaging and inclusive learning experiences that develop students' understanding of history, geography, civics and citizenship, and the broader social sciences.
You will foster critical thinking, inquiry, literacy development, and a deeper understanding of the world, while supporting students to achieve their personal best.
About You
You are a compassionate and organised educator who brings:
· Experience teaching Humanities across Years 7 to 10.
· Strong knowledge of the Western Australian Humanities and Social Sciences curriculum.
· The ability to design and deliver engaging, student-centred learning programs.
· Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills.
· A commitment to inclusive teaching practices and student wellbeing.
· The ability to collaborate effectively within a dynamic and supportive department.
· Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
· Willingness to support the Mission, Vision and Ethos and Core Values of Swan Valley Anglican Community School
