Council are seeking driven, friendly, passionate and confident individuals, to join our team as a Civil Construction Trainee. You will gain hands-on experience while completing a Certificate II in Civil Construction.
/n
Responsibilities
/n
/n
- Assisting with scheduling and resourcing.
/n
- Carrying out daily duties as per work procedures to meet schedules as directed by Supervisor.
/n
- Undertaking manual handling / labouring duties as directed by Supervisor.
/n
- Working as a team member when undertaking construction and maintenance activities and meet with required standards and timeframes.
/n
- Providing efficient and courteous customer service to Council's customers.
/n/n
About yourself
/n
/n
- Need to hold a relevant Year 12 Certificate in Education, OR be able to demonstrate equivalent related experience.
/n
- Be required to complete a Certificate II in Civil Construction within 12 months.
/n
- Hold a current Queensland C Class Licence (is desirable).
/n
- Hold an OH&S; Construction Induction White Card (is essential) or willingness to obtain an OH&S; Construction Induction White Card prior to commencement.
/n
- Be required to undertake pre-employment literacy and numeracy tests.
/n
- Applicants may be required to undertake a Pre-Employment Medical.
/n
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment to work towards and achieve team objectives; and
/n
- Ability to multi-task while maintaining high attention to detail.
/n/n
