As our business continues to grow, we're seeking a motivated Cadet to join our small, supportive team.

About the Role

/n

This is a hands-on, entry-level role, ideal for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and working closely with clients and tradespeople. You'll be involved in learning estimating, contracts administration and project management roles, helping ensure jobs run efficiently from start to finish.

/n

This role is in-house at our Toowoomba office and does not offer remote/hybrid employment opportunities.

/n

Key Responsibilities

/n

Assist in preparing accurate quotes and cost estimates from drawings and project information

/n

Learn to manage fabrication projects from enquiry through to completion under the guidance of experienced team members

/n

Develop skills using CAD software to interpret and produce technical drawings

/n

Liaise professionally with clients, suppliers and the workshop team

/n

Assist with material ordering, scheduling and project coordination

/n

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process development

/n

Build a practical understanding of fabrication methods, manufacturing processes and commercial project delivery

/n

About You

/n

We're looking for someone who is organised,



motivated and eager to build a career in project management and estimating within the fabrication industry.

/n

You will ideally have:

/n

Be studying, or intending to study, a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering or a related field

/n

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

/n

Confidence using Microsoft 365, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook

/n

An interest in technical drawings, design or CAD software (experience is an advantage but not essential)

/n

Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn from experienced professionals

/n

The ability to think logically, solve problems and manage competing priorities

/n

A genuine interest in manufacturing, construction or metal fabrication

/n

Highly Regarded (but not essential)

/n

Exposure to CAD software such as AutoCAD or Solid Works

/n

Experience in a workshop, construction or manufacturing environment

/n

Ability to read or interpret technical drawings

/n

Knowledge of estimating, job costing or project management software

/n
