We are currently seeking a dedicated support worker to join our team in a specialist school environment. This role is ideal for individuals with a background in disability support, education, allied health assistance or youth services who are passionate about supporting children with diverse needs.

About Your New Role
/n
/n
- Provide individualised and group-based support for children and young people with complex disability needs
- Maintain a high level of supervision and ensure safety and wellbeing at all times
/n
- Work in a collaborative team environment within staff-to-participant ratio
/n
- Support the daily routines, transitions and positive behaviour strategies
/n
- Complete documentation and reporting in line with NDIS and internal quality requirements
/n
- Participate in ongoing training and reflective practice
/n/n

- Experience in disability services, education, or a related human services field

- Confidence supporting children and young people with high and complex support needs

- Strong understanding of person-centred active support and inclusive practice

Requirements
/n
/n
- Previous experience and confidence in the disability support and childcare sector is ideal but not essential
/n
- Working towards or holding a relevant qualification at a minimum of Certificate III level in one of the following areas: Education, Community and Social Services, Health and Medical, Disability and Aged Care, or Allied Health.
/n
- Must be available to work service hours: 7:00am–9:00am, 2:30pm–6:00pm, and during school holiday periods (8:30am–5:30pm)

- Employee Working with Children's Checkvalid in Victoria.
/n
- ValidHLTAID012 First Aid in a Childcare Setting(including First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma training).
/n
- NDIS Orientation Certificate.
/n
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
/n
- Mandatory Reporting Certificate.
/n
- Proof of Right to work in Australia.
/n/n
