The Role

Ventia are looking to engage an experienced Maintenance Service Employee to join our Department of Transport contract. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, in this role you will assist with all aspects associated with maintaining navigational aids. While the main warehouse is based in at the South Fremantle Boat Harbour, this role will see you working all across the Perth Metro and regional WA.
Operating within the Navigational Aids Team servicing aids across the state of WA, this role will include activities such as painting, replacing lanterns, electrical and mechanical servicing. You will be responsible for ensuring that the aids remain in an operational condition as they are serviced every 12months. You will be performing varying levels of preventative and planned maintenance, in both the river and ocean within a small crew.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working outdoors on the water, be able to reliably work independently or in a team, safety focused and well organised with the ability to travel into remote areas when required.
This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday-Friday 07:00am-03:30pm (with some flexibility & overtime opportunities) with 1x RDO per month.
Pay rate for this position $38.47 per hour

Requirements

- WA Drivers Licence – HR highly regarded
- Coxswain Ticket – Grade 1 or 2
