Job Description

This is a Senior Software Engineer role responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting RTU (Remote Terminal Unit) software used in water automation and control systems, with a strong focus on Embedded C, Python, Linux, ARM, and industrial communication protocols.

The position offers end-to-end ownership of software solutions, customer-facing problem solving, and opportunities to mentor engineers.

Description

/n

/n

- Design, develop, test, maintain, and support RTU software solutions.

/n

- Analyse customer requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

/n

- Participate in software planning, architecture, design reviews, and code reviews.

/n

- Troubleshoot and resolve field issues relating to software configuration, deployment, and operation.

/n

- Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver integrated hardware and software solutions.

/n

- Support customers, installers, and technical teams with software-related investigations and problem resolution.

/n





- Contribute to process improvement initiatives, technical documentation, and engineering best practices.

/n

- Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing across the team

Profile

/n

/n

- Degree or diploma in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Robotics, or a related discipline.

/n

- 7+ years' professional software development experience.

/n

- Solid programming expertise in C and experience with Python.

/n

- Embedded software development experience.

/n

- Linux and POSIX development experience.

/n

- Experience developing for ARM-based embedded platforms.

/n

- Knowledge of real-time operating environments.

/n

- Experience with TCP/IP, UDP, multithreading, inter-process communication, and synchronisation concepts.

/n

- Familiarity with serial communications protocols such as RS232, RS485, and Modbus.

/n

- Experience using Git and Agile software development methodologies.

/n/n
