The Role
/n
As a Graduate at SMEC, you'll be part of a high-impact talent group, contributing to the delivery of major infrastructure projects alongside experienced engineers and technical specialists.

Our two-year Graduate Development Program (GDP) is designed to accelerate your growth — combining hands‐on project experience with structured learning, mentoring, and exposure across teams and disciplines.
/n
Once completed, successful Graduates move along our Career Pathways, transitioning to their Skilled title (either 'Graduate' or 'Scientist' depending on the technical discipline) and then onwards. Growth is a balanced blend of experience, tenure, development, goals and desired trajectory.

Key Responsibilities
/n
You'll support the delivery of real infrastructure projects from day one — contributing to electrical design, analysis and documentation across transport,
energy and renewable projects while learning from experienced engineers and gaining exposure to site and project delivery.
/n
- Contribute to the delivery of real projects by supporting electrical design development, including drawings, models and technical documentation
/n
- Assist with electrical engineering calculations and analysis across areas such as transport systems, power distribution, lighting and renewable energy under guidance from senior engineers
/n
- Participate in site visits, testing and commissioning to develop an understanding of how electrical designs are implemented on live projects
/n
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate electrical inputs and support project delivery milestones across transport and energy infrastructure
/n
- Learn and apply industry standards, tools and best practice through structured development and on-the-job experience
/n
About You
/n
You're a motivated Electrical Engineering graduate who enjoys problem-solving, working in teams, and contributing to real-world infrastructure and energy projects.
/n
You Will Bring
/n
- A degree in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline)
/n
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
/n
- Exposure to design and analysis tools such as AutoCAD, ETAP or Power Factory (or similar advantageous)
/n
