The SAP S/4HANA QM Functional Consultant is responsible for implementing, designing, configuring, and supporting the Quality Management module within SAP S/4HANA. The consultant works closely with business users, process owners, and technical teams to deliver robust quality processes across procurement, production, and delivery operations.

Location: NZ/Australia

/n

Key Responsibilities

/n

/n

- Gather and analyze business requirements related to quality processes across the manufacturing, procurement, and sales cycle.

/n

- Design end‐to‐end SAP S/4HANA QM solutions including Quality Planning, Quality Inspection, Quality Notifications, Quality Certificates, Results Recording, Usage Decision.

/n

- Map business processes to SAP QM functionalities ensuring best practices.

/n

- Perform configuration of SAP QM in S/4HANA including:

/n

- Inspection plans, sampling procedures, MICs

/n

- Inspection lot creation and processing

/n

- Defect recording and notifications

/n

- QM in procurement, production, and sales

/n

- Collaborate with MM, PP, PM, SD, EWM and other functional teams to ensure seamless integration.

/n

- Configure QM integration with:

/n

- Procurement (QM in MM)

/n

- Production processes (QM in PP)

/n

- Batch management

/n

- EWM/QM integration for warehouse inspections

/n

- Create functional specifications, test scripts, and validation documents.

/n

- Conduct Unit Testing, SIT, UAT, and support cut‐over activities.

/n





- Support data migration for QM master and transactional data.

/n

- Work with ABAP developers for RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Extensions, Conversions, Forms, Workflows)

Required Skills & Experience

/n

/n

- Minimum 10 years of SAP QM experience, with at least 2 full-cycle S/4HANA implementation.

/n

- Strong knowledge of:

/n

- Inspection types

/n

- Quality notifications (Q1, Q2, Q3, etc.)

/n

- Batch management and batch determination

/n

- In-process and final inspections

/n

- Supplier quality management

/n

- Certificates and DMS

/n

- Experience and understanding of Fiori apps related to S/4HANA QM.

/n

- Ability to write functional specs for enhancements, forms, and interfaces.

/n

- Robust communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.

/n

- Ability to work in Agile or Waterfall project environments.

/n

- Proactive, structured, and able to work independently.
