Are you a Registered Nurse looking for a role where compassion meets purpose? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate Registered Nurse to join our progressive, values-driven aged care organisation on a permanent part time basis! Ideally, we are seeking a dedicated nurse who can commit to night shifts (minimum of 30 hours per fortnight), with St Basil's as their primary workplace.

Reporting to the Clinical Care Coordinator, you'll be part of a collaborative and supportive team, delivering high-quality, person-centred care that genuinely improves lives. You'll bring clinical expertise, strong ethical values, and a passion for excellence to every shift.

What you'll do and be responsible for:
/n
/n
- Provide quality clinical care to the residents in your 'house' area, in line with our Model of Care.
/n
- Be responsible for the health and well-being of our residents.
/n
- Check medication and undertake medication rounds where required.
/n
- Engage with families and other stakeholders to build relationships and trust and act as a family contact for any clinical discussions when required.
/n
- Conduct resident assessments, care planning and evaluations for clinical and non-clinical requirements as required; ensuring appropriate documentation is maintained to meet legislative requirements.
/n
- Demonstrate leadership in maintaining infection control, manual handling and care provision principles at all times and educate staff on related policies and procedures.
/n
- Model best practices to ensure resident's quality of life is optimised.
/n
- Provide hands-on support and coaching / leadership to the Enrolled Nurse and Personal Care team during shifts.

What you'll need to succeed:
/n
/n
- Bachelor of Nursing with full AHPRA registration (no restrictions)
/n
- Post Graduate experience (preferred 3 years)
/n
- Up to date qualifications in First Aid and CPR
/n
- Demonstrated clinical assessment skills
/n
- Ability to mentor and lead others
/n
- A warm and empathetic approach
/n
- Comprehensive clinical knowledge of the ageing process & health and a working knowledge of relevant Aged Care legislation
/n
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
/n
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
/n
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; listening, written and verbal
/n
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
/n
- A proactive and energetic style with the enthusiasm to learn and develop
/n/n
It would be helpful if you had (but is not essential to apply for the role):

- An Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) certificate
/n
- Experience working in Aged Care
/n
- A current National Police Certificate (or willingness to apply)
/n/n
