About the Team
The Learning and Curriculum Unit sits within the Education Portfolio in the Division of Education and Students. The team works with academic and skilled staff to enhance teaching, curriculum and assessment in line with quality standards and strategic direction.
Job Purpose
This is a strategic leadership role driving the development, delivery and continuous improvement of professional learning and recognition programs across the University. It works with academic leaders and stakeholders to support capability development and align initiatives with institutional priorities.
Role Responsibilities
Design and deliver professional learning programs including workshops, seminars and online modules in collaboration with academic staff.
Evaluate program impact and contribute to ongoing improvement of learning initiatives.
Coordinate teaching awards,
fellowship support and recognition activities across the University.
Provide advice on policy development and quality assurance related to professional learning.
Build and support communities of practice and cross faculty collaboration in teaching and learning.
Develop learning pathways and maintain resources to support capability development and recognition.
Analyse data and prepare reports to inform planning and decision making.
Detailed Description
Selection Criteria
Strong project management and organisational skills, including the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives.
Demonstrated capacity to design and deliver professional learning programs that build learning and teaching capability.
Deep understanding of professional learning, and recognition frameworks in higher education.
Knowledge of AdvanceHE fellowship pathways, teaching awards, and scholarly engagement practices.
Proven track record of building and sustaining communities of practice and scholarly networks.
Experience in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and reporting on academic development outcomes.

Remuneration/Salary
What We Offer
Base Salary Range: $143,080 - $149,894 (HEW9) plus 17% superannuation (pension)
The position is full time and will be made on a continuing basis.
