The Opportunity
An opportunity is available for a Consultant General Physician to join a large and well-established cross-border regional health service.
This role offers exposure to a broad and complex inpatient workload, supported by strong subspecialty collaboration and a mature consultant-led structure. You will practise comprehensive General Medicine while contributing to teaching, supervision, and ongoing service development.
It is ideally suited to physicians seeking scale, clinical variety, and long-term stability outside of metropolitan systems.
The Hospital
This is the largest regional health service between Sydney and Melbourne, employing over 2,000 staff and delivering a full range of acute and sub-acute services.
Services include:

- Acute General Medicine
- Regional Trauma Centre
- ICU support
- Robust Emergency Department interface
- Subspecialty collaboration across major disciplines
- Registrar training and supervision

A major $600 million redevelopment is currently underway, including a new Emergency Department and short-stay unit, further strengthening future capacity.

The Requirements
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP – General Medicine)
- Specialist Registration with AHPRA (or eligibility)
