The Prospect
An opportunity is available for a Senior Associate or Vice President to join the Sydney team, with a focus on General Industrials and Financial Sponsors.
Working closely with senior bankers, the successful candidate will play a central role in originating and executing buy-side and sell-side M&A; transactions and strategic advisory mandates.
This is a hands-on position offering significant responsibility across the full transaction lifecycle, including:
Managing the day-to-day execution of M&A; transactions
Preparing financial models, valuation analysis and transaction materials
Coordinating due diligence, transaction documentation and broader deal processes
Managing relationships with clients, private equity firms and other advisers
Supervising,
reviewing and developing junior team members
Supporting senior bankers with sector coverage, idea generation and business development
Contributing to the continued growth of the General Industrials and Sponsors franchise
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will ideally have:
Approximately five to eight years’ relevant experience within investment banking, corporate advisory or a leading Big Four corporate finance team
Strong M&A; transaction experience, including involvement across the full deal process
Excellent financial modelling, valuation and analytical capabilities
Exposure to General Industrials, private equity sponsors or broader generalist coverage
The ability to manage multiple workstreams and take ownership of transaction execution
Strong communication, presentation and client-management skills
Experience supervising and mentoring analysts and associates
A collaborative, commercially minded and team-oriented approach
