As an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Advanced Health Worker, you'll support better health outcomes by helping people access culturally safe, connected care. Working alongside patients, families, communities and healthcare teams, you'll make a real difference through advocacy, education and care coordination.

Every day, you'll contribute by:

- Guiding patients and families to the services and supports that best meet their needs.
- Building trusted relationships that improve engagement with healthcare and wellbeing services.
- Delivering health promotion and education that empowers informed health decisions.
- Working with healthcare teams and community partners to achieve coordinated, person-centred outcomes.

You're someone who brings cultural knowledge, compassion and confidence to every interaction. You understand the importance of trust, respect and advocacy, and you're passionate about helping Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people achieve better health and wellbeing. You take pride in removing barriers, strengthening connections and creating positive experiences for individuals, families and communities.

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:

- Certificate IV or Diploma in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care.
- Experience supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in a health or community setting.
- Strong communication, advocacy and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing to multidisciplinary care.



You'll stand out from the crowd if you have experience in community health promotion, cultural mentoring and building partnerships across services.
