About the Company

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading hotel operation and take ownership of the day-to-day delivery of its Conference & Events operation. With a strong focus on service, guest experience and operational excellence, this role is ideal for an experienced hospitality professional who enjoys the pace, variety and energy that comes with conferences, functions and events. You will join an established team and work closely with the Operations Manager, General Manager, Conference & Events Sales team and Food & Beverage leadership to ensure every event is delivered seamlessly from set-up through to pack-down.

The Role

As the Conference & Events Operations Manager, you will be a hands-on operational leader responsible for ensuring conferences, meetings, functions and events are delivered to the highest possible standard. From coordinating room set-ups and equipment requirements through to supervising service, managing rosters and liaising directly with clients, you will be at the centre of the operation and play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences. This is a role for someone who enjoys being on the floor, leading from the front and making sure the finer details are taken care of.

Your Skills and Experience

- Previous leadership experience within Conference & Events, Banquets or Hotel Food & Beverage operations.
- Proven ability to lead, coach and motivate a team while remaining hands-on and leading by example.
- Strong organisational, rostering and operational management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events and competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Commercially minded with an understanding of labour control, revenue generation, upselling and cost management.
- High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills and a sound understanding of workplace health & safety,



food safety and hotel procedures.
