Bamaga Primary Health Care Centre is seeking a Clinical Nurse Consultant in Mental Health for a three-week contract role based in Bamaga, Queensland. This is a focused opportunity to bring specialist mental health expertise to the community, working across child and youth mental health services. The position runs from 12 August to 2 September 2026 and offers a competitive rate of AUD89.00 per hour.

Preferred Requirements

- Minimum three years of community-based experience in child and youth mental health services (CYMHS)




- Strong clinical assessment and intervention skills in mental health nursing
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams in a primary health care workplace
- Experience with clinical documentation, audit processes, and quality improvement activities
- Demonstrated commitment to culturally responsive care in community settings

Preferred Qualifications

- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Certification in Mental Health Nursing or equivalent post-graduate qualification; CIMHA (Certified Infant and Mental Health Advocate) experience highly desirable
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
