Cherbourg Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Emergency Department on a four-week contract from 31 August to 27 September 2026. Based in Cherbourg, Queensland, this role offers the chance to work in a rural healthcare setting where your skills will make a direct impact. You'll work up to 80 hours per fortnight on a competitive rate of AUD58.95 to AUD76.20 per hour, with travel support from Brisbane capped at AUD200 each way.

Preferred Requirements

- Current Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA




- Demonstrated emergency department experience and solid clinical assessment skills
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification current and valid
- Proven competence in triage, cannulation, and team leadership within a clinical setting
- Experience working in rural or remote healthcare environments

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification with current AHPRA registration
- Post-graduate qualification or demonstrated expertise in emergency nursing
- Additional certifications in trauma or critical care nursing
