TechnologyOne CES Functional Specialist | Works & Finance

About the Role

A prominent local government organisation in South East Melbourne is delivering a major enterprise platform upgrade on TechnologyOne Ci Anywhere. We need a TechOne CES Functional Specialist to take ownership of solution design, configuration, and optimisation across the Works, Asset Management, and Finance modules.

Positioned between IT and business stakeholders, you will act as the functional SME to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical designs, and drive operational handover.

The Impact You Will Make

Work closely with Module Owners and Program Managers to define requirements, build functional specifications, and estimate delivery efforts.

Configure and maintain TechnologyOne CiA - CES modules, ensuring solution architecture aligns with council security frameworks and operational goals.

Direct vendor technical delivery, ensuring third party outputs meet architectural standards and project timelines.

Drive end to end quality assurance, leading UAT planning, defect triage, cutover execution, and post go live operational support.

Author training material, knowledge base documentation, and standard operating procedures to enable seamless handover to business teams.

What You Will Bring

Proven background as a Functional Specialist or Business Analyst on TechnologyOne CiA platforms, specifically within Works, Assets, or Finance.

Strong BA capabilities to lead workshops, elicit requirements, and author technical specifications for business stakeholders.

Practical knowledge of TechOne reporting and automation tools, including BPA, XLOne, Crystal Reports, and ETL processes.

Exposure to system integration concepts across APIs, Azure integration services, or Microsoft Power Platform.

Excellent stakeholder management skills, with a track record of driving vendor accountability and transparent business outcomes.
