Be bold. Be creative. Be part of the fight for a green and peaceful future.
At Greenpeace Australia Pacific (GPAP), we believe a better world is possible and we’re determined to make it real. We are an independent campaigning organisation, powered by people and creative action, taking on the biggest environmental and climate challenges of our time. Our priorities are:
- tackling climate change by stopping emissions from fossil fuel extraction at source; and
- protecting nature, including our oceans and forests, by stopping the largest sources of environmental destruction like industrial fishing and deforestation.
Whatever your role at GPAP, you’ll be part of something bigger: a passionate global movement that sparks action, holds decision‑makers to account, and drives lasting change for people and the planet. This is an opportunity to use your skills, creativity, and commitment to help shape a future worth fighting for.

THE TEAM
You’ll be joining our vibrant, high performing in-house telefundraising team. We are a close-knit, driven, and values led group passionate about engaging the public, building long term supporter relationships and directly securing the vital funds needed to power Greenpeace’s critical environmental campaigns.
THE ROLE
As the Call Centre Team Leader, you will play a pivotal dual role; combining active fundraising with daily operational leadership. Split evenly (50/50), you will lead by example on the phones while partnering with the Call Centre Manager to foster a highly motivated, accountable and supportive team environment.
Key responsibilities include:

Consistently hit your own targets and set the standard for best-practice supporter engagement.
- People Leadership and Coaching: Conduct regular 1-on-1s, deliver constructive feedback, partner with our Call Centre Coach, and support individual growth (including managing performance processes when required).
- Operational Management: Coordinate daily workflows, staffing rosters, campaign allocations, and dialling strategies. Step up as the operational lead for the Contact Centre during the Call Centre Manager's absence.
- Quality and Compliance: Monitor call quality, maintain accurate CRM records, handle supporter escalations and ensure strict compliance with fundraising regulation and privacy laws.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
We are looking for an energetic, resilient leader who thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment and cares deeply about protecting our planet.
It is essential in this role to have strong leadership ability to motivate, inspire, and foster a psychologically safe, inclusive team culture. Whilst also operating with a high level of emotional intelligence, empathy, and adaptability under pressure.
You’ll also have:
- At least 2 years’ experience in telefundraising or sales.
- At least 1 year’s experience mentoring, coaching, or leading a team in a sales or call centre environment.
- Proven experience with CRM systems, auto-dialers, call monitoring tools, and basic HR/timesheet software.
- A deep passion for environmental issues and alignment with Greenpeace’s core values.
- Outstanding phone communication, active listening, and objection-handling skills.
- Solid organisational skills to manage workflows, rosters,
and competing campaign priorities.
