Significant leadership opportunity at a meaningful time for St Vincent de Paul Society Victoria, VincentCare Victoria (VCV) and VincentCare Community Housing. (VCCH) This role is about helping our Members, Volunteers and employees do what they do best: serve companions, clients and communities with compassion, dignity, respect and practical support.

- Schedule: Monday to Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm

A little bit about you
We are looking for someone who can lead with both head and heart. This role will suit a leader who deeply understands the mission of the Society and can translate that mission into practical support, strong relationships, clear priorities and real outcomes.
You may be a strong fit if you bring:
- Strong senior or executive leadership experience in mission delivery, Membership, volunteering, community services, service delivery or a related field
- The courage to lead through change with clarity, respect and care,
- Experience working in complex organisations with multiple stakeholder groups
- A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for the people and communities we serve
- Strong understanding of person-centred service delivery and the needs of companions, clients and communities experiencing poverty, disadvantage, homelessness, isolation or vulnerability
- Alignment with the mission, values, Catholic ethos and Rule of the St Vincent de Paul Society
- The ability to bring Members, Volunteers and employees together around shared purpose
- Sound judgement, emotional intelligence and strong stakeholder management skills
- A commitment to safety, safeguarding, quality, compliance and continuous improvement
About the role
This role will work closely with the Group CEO, Executive Leadership Team, Members, Volunteers, employees, VincentCare leaders and other key stakeholders to strengthen how we serve, how we work together and how we bring our Strategic Plan to life.
You will lead an integrated mission delivery portfolio across SVDPV and VCV, with a focus on:
- Supporting and enabling Members to deliver their good works in service to companions in a way that is simple, secure, compliant and aligned to the Rule
- Strengthening Membership support, including support to Conferences, Councils, Member formation, capability, communication and service development
- Supporting and enabling Volunteers to contribute meaningfully, safely and confidently across our works
- Leading and supporting employees working in mission-aligned service delivery, community programs and support functions
- Strengthening the delivery of services and impact for companions and clients through Special Works and VCV, ensuring services are person-centred, responsive to need, effective and grounded in the mission and values of the Society
- Overseeing Special Works and other mission-led programs that support people experiencing poverty, disadvantage, homelessness,
isolation or vulnerability
- Strengthening the connection between mission, service delivery, community impact and organisational decision-making

The successful applicant will lead work that:
- Brings together mission delivery, Special Works, VCV services and community-facing programs in a more connected and collaborative way
- Strengthens service delivery and impact through Special Works and VCV, ensuring services are responsive, effective and centred on the needs of companions and clients
- Puts Members first and ensures they are supported, heard and enabled to deliver their good works in service to companions
- Strengthens Member recruitment, training, communication, leadership pathways and support to Conferences and Councils
- Supports Volunteers through clearer engagement, training, guidance and connection to our mission
- Supports employees to deliver high-quality, person-centred and mission-aligned services
- Supports safe, compliant and effective ways of working that are aligned to the Rule, our mission, our values and our legal and governance obligations
- Strengthens relationships across SVDPV, VCV and VCCH
