About the Role:
We are seeking experienced Trade Assistants to join our team at the Cooljarloo Mine Site. This full-time position is day shift only, working an 8 days on / 6 days off roster and is DIDO from surrounding regions. This position offers long term stability, supportive leadership and the chance to grow your skills with a high-performing production team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist fitters and trades with daily maintenance tasks
- Support workshop and field maintenance activities
- Assist with mixing paints to correct specifications
- Conduct parts runs, inventory checks, and tool control
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Clean and maintain paint shop equipment
- Assist tradespeople with lifting, moving, and assembling components
- Perform basic maintenance or workshop duties as needed
About you:
- Previous experience as a Trade Assistant or in a similar mechanical/industrial role
- Solid safety mindset and ability to follow procedures
- Confident using hand and power tools
- Comfortable working in a mining environment
- Valid driver’s licence
- Experience working with heavy mobile equipment
- Forklift, EWP, or Working at Heights/Confined Space tickets
- Mechanical aptitude or interest in progressing toward a trade
