About the role:
The Renal Supportive Care Dietitian Level 3 is a part of the Dietetics team and is responsible for the provision of evidence-based nutrition and dietetic services in the renal supportive care program, in-line with the MLHD Renal Service.
You will demonstrate advanced reasoning skills and operate with minimal direct clinical supervision.

As a Senior Dietitian, you will be responsible for:
- Provision of a comprehensive renal dietetics service - this may include outreach services including telehealth as a mode service delivery.
- Ensuring client/patient care is delivered within professional, organisational, legal and ethical boundaries and reflects evidence-based practice and knowledge in-line with MLHD CORE values.
- Providing high level clinical expertise and knowledge in a supportive care approach within MLHD.
- Working collaboratively to optimise positive workplace culture and client outcomes.
- Provide clinical supervision and support to Level 1/2 Dietitians, Allied Health Assistants & students on clinical placement as required.
- Involvement in the planning, implementation and evaluation of services, development and leading of quality improvement activities and research with appropriate stakeholders.

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:
1. Tertiary qualification in Nutrition and Dietetics with current Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status and eligibility for Dietitians Australia membership.
2. Advanced clinical knowledge, skills and experience within renal nutrition and/or similar chronic disease or end of life care roles,
with an emphasis on evidence-based practice.
3. Experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures for service improvement and skills in providing education and training.
4. Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead quality improvement, research and service development initiatives.
