Are you an experienced Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Supervisor or Senior Mechanical Fitter looking to take the next step in your career?
We are currently seeking a Fixed Plant Maintenance Manager to join a well-established manufacturing operation based in Busselton, South West WA.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on maintenance professional who understands the demands of a high-volume FMCG or food manufacturing environment and enjoys taking ownership of site maintenance, reliability and continuous improvement.
The Opportunity
Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will take responsibility for the maintenance function across the site, ensuring plant and equipment remain safe, reliable and productive.
You will lead maintenance planning, preventative maintenance programs, breakdown response and improvement initiatives while working closely with production and operational teams to minimise downtime and maximise equipment reliability.
Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage the site's fixed plant maintenance function.
- Develop and maintain effective preventative and planned maintenance programs.
- Coordinate reactive and preventative maintenance activities.
- Lead, mentor and develop maintenance personnel and trades teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve plant reliability, efficiency and productivity.
- Work closely with production to minimise downtime and disruption.
- Manage contractors, suppliers and external maintenance providers.
- Assist with maintenance budgets, forecasting and expenditure.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in accordance with relevant standards.
- Drive a proactive maintenance culture across the facility.




- Support continuous improvement and capital projects where required.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and asset information.

What We're Looking For
The successful candidate will ideally have:

- Cert III in Mechanical Engineering - Fitting and Machining, or an equivalent recognised mechanical/fixed plant qualification.
- Previous experience working within a fixed plant manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience within FMCG, food manufacturing or a similar high-volume production facility.
- Previous experience leading a maintenance team, or the capability and desire to step into a management position.
- Strong mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with preventative and planned maintenance systems.
- A practical, hands-on approach combined with strong leadership capability.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
