About the Role
An opportunity is available for an experienced Payroll Manager to take full ownership of the payroll function for a national organisation. This is a true standalone role suited to someone comfortable managing payroll end-to-end and acting as the payroll subject matter expert.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end processing of payroll for a multi-state workforce.
- Manage payroll compliance including PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax and other statutory obligations.
- Handle employee payroll enquiries and maintain accurate payroll records.
- Prepare payroll reporting, reconciliations and month-end information.
- Manage salary packaging, parental leave and other payroll-related employee benefits.
- Act as the payroll systems administrator, including support for Chris21 and system improvements.
About You
- Proven experience managing payroll end-to-end in a standalone or senior payroll role.
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, tax, superannuation and compliance requirements.
- Experience processing payroll for a multi-state workforce.
- Solid Chris21 experience highly regarded.
- Excellent attention to detail, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and take full ownership of the payroll function.
