Client Coordinator

The role:
In this important role as a Client Coordinator at mecwacare, you will be a key member of the Client Service Centre, providing a welcoming and supportive first point of contact for new and prospective clients, their families and referral partners. You will manage inbound enquiries and proactively follow up prospective clients, guiding them through their care journey from initial enquiry and assessment through to onboarding and service commencement. Working closely with operational teams, you will provide accurate information about services, eligibility, funding and care options, coordinate client intake and handovers, and build strong relationships with referral partners. You will also contribute to organisational growth while ensuring every client receives a positive, seamless and person-centred experience.
About you:
You are a compassionate, proactive and highly organised professional who is driven by our organisational values and passionate about supporting older people and their families to navigate their care options with confidence. You take pride in delivering exceptional customer service, building trusted relationships and providing clear and accurate information in a professional and supportive manner. You will bring experience in customer service and ideally aged care, community services, health or a related sector, along with solid communication, relationship management and organisational skills.
With the ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively, you are motivated by creating positive client experiences, developing strong referral relationships and helping people identify the care and services that best meet their needs.
What you bring:
- Demonstrated experience in a customer service and the ability to sell services to prospective clients.
- Experience working in aged care, community services, health or a related sector.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients, families and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple enquiries and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High level attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Sound understanding of aged care services, funding models or client pathways (or ability to quickly develop this knowledge).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and client management systems.
- Current Victorian Driver’s Licence.
Desirable Criteria:
- Knowledge of My Aged Care systems and processes.
- Experience coordinating client onboarding or service intake processes.
- Experience engaging with referral networks such as hospitals, ACAS, allied health providers or community services.
- Understanding of aged care legislation, funding models and consumer directed care principles.
