Qualified Electrician - Industrial Maintenance

Salary: $125,000 + super + overtime + on-call allowance

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Electrician to join a stable team in a varied and rewarding permanent role, supporting the Mill Manager across electrical maintenance, fault finding, installation and control systems.

You will work as part of a team while also having the opportunity to work autonomously, playing an important role in minimising downtime and ensuring electrical and production systems operate efficiently and safely.

Key responsibilities:

· Prioritise and respond to electrical breakdowns to minimise downtime.

· Diagnose electrical faults using diagrams, manuals, specifications, testing equipment and troubleshooting techniques.

· Repair electrical faults by replacing faulty components and parts.

· Install and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, lighting, communications, conduit, feeders and branch circuits.

· Troubleshoot and program PLC systems to improve equipment performance and operational efficiency.

· Plan and complete electrical installations in accordance with job specifications.

· Manage assigned electrical jobs through to completion while maintaining communication with Managers and team members.

· Work collaboratively with the wider team to maintain an efficient and productive work environment.

· Maintain compliance with company HR, OHS and quality procedures.

· Identify and report safety hazards and actively contribute to a safe working environment.

What We're Looking For

To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:

· Current Electrical Licence and be a qualified Electrician.

· Minimum 2 years' electrical experience, ideally within an industrial,



manufacturing or maintenance environment.

· Food manufacturing experience is highly desirable.

· Sound knowledge and practical experience with PLC systems and programming.

· Current Class C Driver's Licence.

· Strong electrical fault-finding, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to work both autonomously and effectively as part of a team.

· Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritise breakdowns and competing tasks.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work under pressure, multitask and meet operational deadlines.

· Solid commitment to workplace health and safety.

Desirable:

· PAT and Relay Testing certificates.

· A Grade Electrical Licence or Nominee Licence.
