About The Opportunity

Bundaberg Regional Council is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Water Services team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.





In this role, you will manage the planning and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects that support essential services for our growing region. You will lead projects from concept through to completion, working closely with internal stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and the community to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in line with legislative requirements.

This is an prospect to make a tangible impact on the future of water and wastewater services across the Bundaberg Region while working within a collaborative and values-led organisation.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following key selection criteria:

- A tertiary qualification in Engineering with eligibility for Corporate Membership of Engineers Australia.
- Demonstrated experience providing effective project management services within scope, budget, and time constraints.
- Experience in the planning and delivery of new, upgrade and renewal water and wastewater projects.
- Demonstrated experience preparing tender documentation and managing contracts through the project lifecycle.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external customers, consultants and contractors.
- Well-developed organisational, problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills.
- A current C Class Driver Licence.

Desirable:

The following qualifications and experience would be highly regarded.

- Postgraduate engineering qualifications.
- Eligibility for registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ).




- Working knowledge of relevant legislation including Work Health and Safety Act, Environmental Protection Act and Local Government Act.
