About the Role
This senior role provides the opportunity to lead Allied Health Assistants across our care communities (residential aged care). You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred therapy services, while coordinating day-to-day AHA workflows and contributing to ongoing service improvement initiatives.
Working closely with Allied Health Professionals, care teams, residents, and external partners, you will deliver individual and group therapy programs, oversee the supervision and delegation of AHP-directed tasks, maintain strong communication across multidisciplinary teams, and support service planning and quality improvement activities. The role also involves mentoring and developing junior AHAs, students, and new staff, helping to build capability and foster a culture of continuous learning within the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership across the AHA team
- Supervise and delegate delegated AHP tasks
- Implement therapy programs and monitor outcomes
- Communicate updates and concerns promptly
- Participate in service development activities
- Support learning and orientation for junior staff
Skills & Experience
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent)
- Ability to implement therapy under AHP supervision
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Able to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to continuous improvement
