Milestone IT is working with a fantastic organisaton to recruit an experienced Identity Engineer to join their team on an initial 6-month contract.
This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on IAM professional to contribute to key identity and security initiatives within a complex enterprise environment. You will be responsible for supporting, improving and implementing identity solutions, with a strong focus on Microsoft Entra ID and Okta.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, implement and support identity and access management solutions.
- Administer and maintain Microsoft Entra ID and Okta environments.
- Manage identity lifecycle processes, including onboarding, changes and offboarding.
- Configure and troubleshoot SSO, MFA, federation and authentication integrations.
- Support application integrations with Entra ID and Okta.
- Develop and maintain identity policies, access controls and security standards.
- Work closely with security, infrastructure, applications and business teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex identity and authentication issues.
- Assist with IAM automation and process improvements.
- Contribute to identity and security projects, documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

You will be a hands-on Identity Engineer with strong experience across enterprise IAM environments. You will ideally have:

- Proven hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).




- Robust experience administering and supporting Okta.
- Experience with SSO, SAML, OAuth/OIDC and MFA.
- Strong understanding of identity lifecycle management and access controls.
- Experience integrating applications with cloud identity platforms.
- Knowledge of Active Directory and hybrid identity environments.
- Experience with scripting and automation, particularly PowerShell.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable
- Experience with Entra ID Governance / Identity Governance.
- Experience with Okta Workflows.
- Knowledge of privileged access management.
- Experience working within large or complex enterprise environments.
- Relevant Microsoft, Okta or security certifications.
