About Us
South Pacific Private's mission is 'To change lives and heal families', providing Australians with the most holistic, comprehensive and proven treatment programs for addiction, trauma and mental health.
As a fully accredited, 54-bed private psychiatric hospital and part of Sana/ South Pacific Health Group, an Australasian leader in behavioural health services, we bring together some of the region's leading clinicians in a deeply collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. Our programs are supervised by an expert team of psychiatrists, psychologists, general practitioners, registered nurses, psychotherapists and counsellors.
South Pacific Private recognises the Gayamaygal people as the traditional owners and custodians of the land upon which we work.
About the Role

This is a role for a senior medical leader who wants to shape the direction of a purpose-driven hospital, hold the standard for patient and staff safety and quality, and support the skilled standing of South Pacific Private across the broader mental health sector. The role carries flexible working hours alongside on-call responsibilities. The Medical Superintendent position is approximately 20 hours per month. It is an expectation that the Medical Superintendent will carry a small VMO clinical case load separate to the leadership role.
