About the role
We are seeking a capable and commercially minded Construction Operations & Business Associate to join our growing piling and civil construction business. This is a diverse role suited to an experienced construction professional who can combine hands-on industry knowledge with strong leadership, commercial awareness and operational judgement. The successful candidate will play an significant role in supporting day-to-day operations, coordinating site activities, assisting with business performance and identifying practical opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity and overall project outcomes. You will work closely with management, supervisors and site teams to ensure operations are well coordinated, risks are appropriately managed and projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate construction and piling activities
- Assist with planning, scheduling and allocation of labour, plant and resources
- Support site teams to achieve productivity, quality and safety targets
- Monitor day-to-day operational performance and identify areas for improvement
- Assist management with operational planning and decision-making
- Identify potential issues early and implement practical solutions
- Assist with improving systems,
processes and workflow across the business
- Ensure projects remain focused on safety, quality, productivity and efficiency
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, clients and internal teams
- Assist with maintaining project timelines and operational requirements
About you
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a supervisory or leadership role
- Proven piling and ground engineering experience, including exposure to jet grouting, CFA piling, bored piles, anchors, and other piling and ground retention systems
- Strong understanding of civil construction operations
- Current Excavator Ticket / VOC
- Current Dogman / Dogging Ticket
- Current White Card
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Solid organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to work effectively with management, employees, subcontractors, suppliers and clients
