About the role: As a Case Manager with us, you'll get to improve the health, well-being and social outcomes of clients by delivering comprehensive alcohol and other drug support interventions. The AOD Case Manager role involves providing immediate trauma-informed and person-centred care to participants utilising brief interventions, support people with practical information and supports and utilise a psychosocial capacity building framework. They work with other staff to facilitate groups providing training in psychoeducation, harm minimisation, process groups and relapse prevention, and reduce alcohol and other drug use related harm by delivering participant-centred, high quality and safe case management and care coordination.

About the program: The aim of the Drug and Alcohol Treatment Program (DATP) is to achieve improved health and social outcomes for individuals, families, and communities at risk of, or currently affected by, problematic alcohol and other drug use. It supports people at all stages from early intervention to relapse prevention.

Hours and location: This part-time role is 30 hours per week, with flexible work arrangements to support work-life balance. There is no weekend work required. This position operates onsite from the hub based in the Nimbin Neighbourhood and Information Centre and works closely with the neighbourhood centre staff. A pool vehicle is available for outreach work in the community This position is funded until 30 June 2027, with strong potential for extension as part of our expanding community services

$$$: This role will be remunerated at SCHCDS Level 4 $46-50ph with access to salary packaging to potentially increase your take home pay by another 5k.

1. Tertiary qualifications at diploma level or higher in an AOD, Social work, psychology, or Mental Health field.

1. Current driver's licence, a satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Working with Children Check

1. A minimum of two years’ experience in case management and delivery of AOD support with a trauma informed approach using knowledge of AOD support and relapse prevention.

1. Demonstrated experience facilitating groups.
