What you'll be doing
Your key responsibilities as a Dental Assistant will include:
- Preparing and sterilising dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols
- Assisting dental practitioners during patient treatments and procedures
- Welcoming patients and ensuring they feel comfortable in our practice environment
- Managing patient scheduling and appointment coordination
- Maintaining a clean and organised treatment area
- Processing patient payments and managing administrative tasks
- Supporting the overall smooth operation of the dental practice
What we're looking for
To succeed in this role, you will ideally possess the following skills, qualifications and experience:
- Formal qualification as a Dental Assistant or equivalent experience in a dental environment is highly regarded
- Availabilty to work on Wednesdays and Thursdays is a must
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures and infection control standards
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-focused approach
- High level of manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting
- Organisational skills and the ability to multitask
- Proficiency in dental practice management software
- Professional and courteous manner with patients and team members
