We are currently working with a growing civil contractor that has just secured a record amount of new work, following a number of successful tender wins across the region.
With a strong pipeline of upcoming projects, they are looking to add an experienced Civil Supervisor to their team to help deliver a range of civil infrastructure and subdivision projects across the Ipswich to Lockyer Valley corridor.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a contractor at an exciting stage of growth, with plenty of work secured and further projects in the pipeline.
The Role You will be responsible for:
- Supervising day-to-day civil construction activities across infrastructure and subdivision projects
- Leading site crews, subcontractors and plant to ensure projects are delivered safely and efficiently
- Managing site productivity, sequencing, materials and resources
- Reading and interpreting drawings, specifications and construction documentation
- Working closely with Project Managers and Engineers to achieve programme, quality and cost targets
- Ensuring all works are completed in accordance with safety, environmental and quality requirements
- Identifying and resolving site issues as they arise
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and other project stakeholders
What We're Looking For The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience as a Civil Supervisor / Foreman within civil construction
- Strong experience across civil infrastructure, subdivisions, earthworks, roads, drainage and associated works
- A strong understanding of construction methodologies and site sequencing
- Ability to lead crews and subcontractors effectively
- Solid communication and organisational skills
- A safety-first approach and commitment to quality
- Relevant tickets/qualifications within civil construction are advantageous
