Hypergrind Coffee
Lilydale
Hypergrind Coffee is growing, and we’re looking for someone pretty special to join us as our very first employee.
Founded by excellent mates David and Jordan, Hypergrind is a fast-growing coffee accessories brand based in Melbourne’s Yarra Valley. We design and sell beautiful, functional coffee tools that help home baristas make better coffee at home, shipping orders to customers across Australia and around the world.
We’ve recently moved into our recent warehouse in Lilydale, and we’re now looking for a hands-on Warehouse & Fulfilment Coordinator to take ownership of our day-to-day warehouse operations and help us build the next stage of Hypergrind’s growth.
This isn’t just a role packing boxes. You’ll be joining at the ground level, working directly alongside the founders and helping us create the systems, processes and standards that will shape how our warehouse operates as we grow.
The Role
Your primary responsibility will be ensuring our customers’ orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately and efficiently each day.
With a strong and growing volume of orders shipping across Australia and internationally, you’ll take ownership of our day-to-day fulfilment and help keep the warehouse running smoothly. There is no weekend work required, although Mondays will be an important day for managing orders received over the weekend.
Beyond fulfilment, you’ll work closely with us to manage incoming stock, inventory and the overall organisation of the warehouse.
As Hypergrind continues to grow, we want this role to grow with it. The right person will have the opportunity to help shape our warehouse processes from the ground up and, over time,
train and lead future warehouse team members.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Picking, packing and dispatching customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Receiving and organising incoming stock, primarily pallet deliveries
- Helping manage inventory, stock counts and replenishment
- Keeping the warehouse organised, clean and running smoothly
- Processing and managing customer returns
- Conducting general product quality control
- Working with Shopify, ShipStation and Microsoft 365
- Helping develop and improve warehouse processes and workflows
- Identifying opportunities to make our fulfilment operation more efficient as we grow
- Eventually helping train and support future warehouse team members
About You
Warehouse or fulfilment experience is preferred, but for us, attitude is just as important as experience. Skills and systems can be taught. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work and genuinely wants to be part of building something.
You’ll ideally be:
- Proactive and comfortable taking ownership
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Reliable and able to work independently
- Efficient while still caring about accuracy and quality
- Comfortable working with computers and learning new systems
- A good communicator who enjoys working as part of a small team
- Happy to get hands-on and help wherever needed
- Comfortable with the manual handling involved in receiving, organising and moving warehouse stock
Most importantly, we’re looking for someone with the right attitude who wants to grow with the business.
Why Join Hypergrind?
This is a unique opportunity to become employee number one at Hypergrind.
You’ll work directly alongside the founders and have a genuine opportunity to influence how our warehouse operates from the beginning. As the business grows, we want this role to grow too, with real opportunities to take on more responsibility and progress into warehouse and team leadership.
You’ll also enjoy:
- Flexible working hours
- Full-time or part-time flexibility, with a minimum of four days per week
- Monday to Friday work with no regular weekend shifts
- Free coffee and coffee beans
- Generous staff discounts on Hypergrind products
- Team lunches
- Career progression as Hypergrind continues to grow
- A relaxed, down-to-earth working environment
- The opportunity to play a meaningful role in the next chapter of a growing Australian business
Interested?
If you’re looking for more than just another warehouse job and like the idea of joining a growing business at an early stage, we’d love to hear from you.
Tell us a little about yourself, your experience and why you think you’d be a great fit for Hypergrind.
We’re looking for the right person to join us within the next 4–6 weeks, with the opportunity to start sooner for the right candidate.
