Your day to day
This is an ongoing position within our Education Support centre.
As an Education Assistant, you will work with students to support their participation in class to enhance their learning outcomes. Including:
- developing positive relationships with students and providing continuance of support in classes
- assisting in the creation and adaption of classroom materials for use by students
- actively encouraging and assisting students to take as much responsibility as possible for their own organisation and learning
- accompanying and, if required, transporting students on excursions or work placement
- being a role model of the College's values
- actively supporting Catholic identity and the development of faith
- building and maintaining strong relationships based on mutual respect with students, families and peers
Skills & experience
- previous experience in a similar role
- a current Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check
- a current Working with Children Registration
- to be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic Education
Tertiary qualifications in School Based Education Support or equivalent is highly desirable.
