This prestigious bank has a rare opportunity for an experienced Operations Team Leader to join the Deposits and Payments team. With two positions available due to growth and internal promotions, you could secure your spot in one of the most sought-after banks in Australia.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll lead from the front by coaching, mentoring, and supporting a team of 10–12 FTE to keep them productive, engaged, and continually improving. You’ll stay close to the day‑to‑day, managing operational queues to ensure same-day turnaround, maintaining quality and productivity, and ensuring all regulatory requirements are met. With a solid client‑first mindset, you’ll drive performance while delivering a consistently high standard of service to key stakeholders.

What you’ll bring

- Experience within the banking industry is essential




- Experience as an operations leader within payments or everyday banking is preferred or experience as an operations leader within lending is also highly desirable
- Passion for, and experience in, people leadership
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and manage stakeholders effectively
- A real focus on delivering high-quality outcomes for both clients and your team
- Experience with deposit products and exposure to Business Banking (highly regarded)
