We're partnering with a leading organisation that's investing in the way their Group Finance division uses and manages data. As a Finance Data Engineer, you'll help build and enhance the data platforms that support financial reporting, analytics and decision-making. You'll develop reliable data pipelines, improve data quality and partner with finance and technology teams to deliver trusted data solutions.
You'll join a small but team-oriented team focused on improving the division's data capability, with the opportunity to work on modern cloud technologies and contribute to the ongoing evolution of the finance data platform.
Salary : $110k-$120k + Super + Bonus
Location : Sydney CBD | 3 days/week in office
N.B. You must be Citizen, PR or a natural pathway to PR in order to be successful for this role.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain data pipelines using AWS and Snowflake.
- Develop datasets that support reporting, forecasting and financial analysis.
- Help improve data quality, reliability and performance across the platform.
- Work with Finance and Technology stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver practical data solutions.
- Assist with data modelling, optimisation and platform enhancements.
- Support the ongoing modernisation of the Group Finance data environment.
- Contribute to engineering best practices, documentation and continuous improvement.
What You'll Bring
- Commercial experience as a Data Engineer or Analytics Engineer.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and Snowflake.
- Strong SQL skills and experience building ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Understanding of data modelling and modern data engineering principles.
- A logical, analytical approach to solving technical problems.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience within financial services would be advantageous but isn't essential.
