About the role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Implementation Consultant to join our Dayforce Practice.

In this role, you will take meaningful ownership of Dayforce Payroll implementation projects and guide clients through significant payroll transformation.

You will work with organisations of approximately 500 to 5,000 employees across a range of industries, partnering with payroll, finance, HR, technology and senior leadership stakeholders throughout the implementation lifecycle.

You will bring strong Australian payroll knowledge, hands-on Dayforce Payroll implementation experience and the confidence to lead client workshops, identify risks and translate complex requirements into practical system solutions.

Your work will include payroll calculation design, system configuration, reconciliation, testing, general ledger mapping, finance integration, reporting, compliance and transition to business-as-usual operations.

Depending on the size and complexity of the engagement, you may lead a payroll workstream or take broader ownership of an end-to-end implementation.

What you will do

- Lead clients through payroll implementation activities across discovery, requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment and transition to business as usual.
- Facilitate workshops to understand payroll rules, operating requirements, calculation logic, reporting needs and financial structures.
- Translate complex payroll requirements into accurate, scalable and practical Dayforce solutions.
- Provide trusted advice on payroll processes, system configuration, integrations and implementation best practice.
- Configure and validate payroll calculations, general ledger mapping, reporting structures and finance system outputs.
- Identify project risks, dependencies and downstream impacts, and support clients to resolve them early.
- Ensure solutions align with Australian payroll legislation, taxation, superannuation and reporting requirements.
- Support payroll reconciliation, parallel pay runs, testing, defect resolution, go-live and post-implementation activities.
- Provide clear documentation, training and knowledge transfer to client teams.
- Maintain accountability for assigned deliverables and contribute to meeting agreed project timelines, budgets and quality standards.
- Work collaboratively with clients, Dayforce and the broader Pinpoint project team to deliver successful outcomes.

What you will bring

To succeed in this role, you will have:

- At least three years of payroll or HR technology implementation experience.

- Hands-on Dayforce Payroll implementation and configuration experience.
- Recent experience delivering end-to-end Australian payroll implementations.
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, taxation, superannuation and compliance requirements.
- Experience working in a consulting, professional services or client-facing implementation environment.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, accountability and commitment to quality.

Experience we also value

The following experience would be advantageous:

- New Zealand payroll knowledge.
- General ledger mapping and payroll-to-finance integrations.
- Financial and payroll reporting.
- Experience with complex awards, enterprise agreements or multi-entity payroll environments.
- Relevant Dayforce training or certifications.

At Pinpoint, you will have the opportunity to:

- Complex and varied Dayforce projects.
- Ongoing training and certifications.
- Support from experienced specialists.
- Genuine ownership and client impact.
- Flexible hybrid working.
- Collaborative and supportive team.
- Competitive remuneration.

At Pinpoint, you will have the freedom and support to build a career that works for you. You will be trusted to take ownership, encouraged to contribute your ideas and supported to continue growing your expertise.

Whether you are working from home, from one of our offices or alongside a client, you will remain connected to a close and collaborative team. We are committed to creating an environment where people feel heard, respected and recognised for the contribution they make.

If this sounds like the right next step for you, we would love to hear from you.

If you require any adjustments or support to participate fully in the recruitment process, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you.
