Amazon is seeking an experienced Maintenance and Engineering Manager to lead our Reliability Maintenance and Engineering Team at the Heathwood, QLD site.

Responsibilities

- Lead, support and mentor the maintenance team, ensuring site operations are maintained in a safe, standard and efficient manner.
- Work with the team and the wider network to harness the technical expertise available and build solutions.
- Support the Senior Maintenance and Engineering Manager in working with the Site Safety department & Site Leadership to implement, record and audit safety and statutory compliance programs, providing a secure working environment for all staff.
- Implement network standards and focus on preventative maintenance to provide a high level of equipment availability to our internal customers.
- Ensure sufficient technical coverage is available for the shifts they own by organizing and directing the training program for the team.
- Manage local projects or support Australia-wide projects as assigned by the Senior Maintenance and Engineering Manager.

Day in the Life

You’ll be based at one of our operational sites, allowing you to give practical guidance to your team and gain a clear vision of what’s happening at your site. This involves collecting data and solving problems in a fast-paced environment, as well as creating operational plans to improve site productivity and efficiency. After safety, the most important part of the role is leading your team and managing their performance and development,



including organising additional training.

Basic Qualifications

- Experience building and managing a high-performing team of direct reports.
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization.
- Relevant experience as part of a maintenance team in an industrial or production environment that handles a variety of complex business processes.
- Degree in a technical discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with statutory regulations such as compliance checks and machine safety protocols.
- Experience with data analysis tools and PLC-based control systems.
- Experience with project management or Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma processes.
- Experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
