A.G Designer Jeweller, a high-end manufacturing jeweller, is looking for an experienced Jewellery Designer to join our close-knit team located in Tattersall's Arcade in the Brisbane CBD. This is a full time position working five days per week (38 hours per week, Tuesday to Saturday).
The A.G team of master jewellers, gemstone specialists and designers work with our clients to create high-quality, original jewellery that is handcrafted in office in our Brisbane workshop. An experienced Jewellery Designer to lead the design and technical development of bespoke jewellery from the initial client consultation through to production. Working closely with clients, gemstone specialists and our workshop team, you'll transform ideas into beautiful, manufacturable pieces while ensuring every design reflects our commitment to exceptional craftsmanship.
Key responsibilities
- Liaise with clients to understand design briefs.
- Develop original concepts for bespoke jewellery.
- Prepare sketches, CAD models and production-ready technical drawings.
- Select appropriate materials and manufacturing methods.
- Prepare production documentation.
- Work closely with our master jewellers throughout production to ensure each piece reflects the approved design.
- Review prototypes and completed jewellery.
- Contribute to new jewellery collections.
The role requires
- Bachelor qualification in Jewellery Design or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience (minimum of five years of experience).
- Experience designing bespoke fine jewellery.
- Strong CAD skills using MatrixGold, Rhino or similar.
- Experience preparing technical drawings.
- Sound understanding of jewellery manufacturing.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Outstanding attention to detail.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work closely with jewellers, gemstone specialists and clients.
