Careers & Candidates has been engaged by our Client, to source Candidates for the role of Commercial Business Partner.

Our Client is a long established, ASX listed, FMCG corporate. The business has a very strong and sustained record of financial performance, with recent years' performances, pre and post covid, being the best on record - which is incredible, given the age of this business. The company has operations across A&NZ;, Asia and Europe.

The position reports into the Head of Finance. It has a strong operational and commercial flavor and will only suit a person who enjoys understanding business drivers, working with operations and looking for opportunities to reduce costs and improve profitability.

The role also has a key focus on systems and improving how the finance systems run and integrate with other reporting and management systems, to improve data validity and efficiencies in reporting, as well as, working with the business to understand business information needs and develop the reporting needed. Again, doing this part of the role well, will require working across operations, IT and finance, and will only suit a person who values the chance.

The role will also take you to modelling out possible scenarios of changes to proposed legislation on costs of the business, as well as,



benchmarking business cost and revenue management against competitors.

Beyond these key areas, there is the opportunity to develop the role into a broader strategic analysis and where your passions may take you. The business has a culture of molding and even creating roles, as business needs evolve through employees spotting business opportunities and needs and following their passions. Just one of the reasons why this business has sustained high levels of success and growth.

You will have an Accounting degree and possibly also a level of qualifications in IT - though the latter is not required. You will need to have experience in accounting, including commercial analysis and business partnering, as well as, a level of experience in IT systems. For example, this role will need you to access 'the back end' of reporting systems to create reports etc. This does not mean coding and this is not an IT role, but experience, for example, in Power BI or TM1 (or similar) and creating and amending reports would be ideal.
