Head of Government & Regulatory Relations

The Company is seeking a Head of Government Affairs to lead the establishment, coordination, and management of its government affairs function. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of government affairs strategies, providing in-depth analysis of political, regulatory, and industry developments, and ensuring the effective delivery of government affairs priorities. This role requires the ability to translate strategic priorities into detailed engagement plans, monitor global developments, and prepare recommendations for senior leaders.

The Head of Government Affairs will also be involved in stakeholder engagement, including coordinating responses to government consultations and managing relationships with various external stakeholders. Applicants for the Head of Government Affairs position at the company should have a background in government affairs, public policy, regulatory affairs, or a related discipline,



with a strong understanding of regulatory policy development and consultation processes. Experience in financial services or other regulated environments is essential, and experience engaging with regulatory bodies such as APRA, ASIC, or equivalent is highly regarded.

The role demands excellent written communication, policy analysis, and drafting skills, as well as solid project management and coordination capabilities. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and outcomes-focused, with the ability to influence and coordinate across multiple business areas. High integrity, sound judgment, and the ability to work in a fast-changing external environment are also key personal attributes for this role.
