About the Role

We arelookingfor a Legal Counsel to join our Brisbane-based team, supporting Hewitt’s global operations across the full spectrum of the supply chain–agribusinessoperations, processing,salesand our corporate offices.

Reporting to the General Counsel & Head of Risk, you willprovidecommercially focused legal advice across a diverse and evolving business. This is a dynamic, hands-on role partnering closely with stakeholders across multiple geographies to mitigate risk, support decision-making and enable business growth.

You willbe a true business partner,workingacrossthe full spectrum oflegal areasin our business. You willgenuinelycontributeto strategic initiativesand business growthwhile ensuring solid governance in a fast-paced,complexandglobal environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Providetimely, practical legal advice across business operations
- Draft,reviewand negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts
- Identifyand mitigate legal risks through policies,proceduresand training
- Manage disputes balancing legal risk,costand business outcomes
- Support governance,complianceand strategic M&A; initiatives

About You

You are a commercially astute legal professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. With robust technicalexpertiseand sound judgement, you can confidently partner with stakeholders across the business to deliver practical legal solutions.

You enjoy working both autonomously and as part of a broaderteam andbring a proactive approach to managing risk and supporting organisational success.

You Will Bring





- Demonstrated 2-4 years' experience in legal practice within a reputable law firm and/or in-house environment
- Proven capability in delivering practical legalsolutions andadvice
- Strong negotiation, criticalthinkingand sound decision-making skills
- Proactive approach to problem solving and an ability to think outside of the box
- Ability to build andmaintaineffective relationships with global stakeholders
- Current Australian practising certificate (or eligibility)
