Captain Nemo's Pool Spa Marine is seeking a Junior Sales Assistant to join our team in Eight Mile Plains, QLD. This is a full-time position that offers an excellent opportunity to launch your retail career in the dynamic pool, spa and marine industry. As a Junior Sales Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering outstanding customer service and supporting the sales operations of our busy retail environment. This position is based on-site at our Eight Mile Plains location, where you will be at the heart of our customer-focused business.

What you'll be doing

Greeting customers warmly and professionally as they enter the store, creating a welcoming atmosphere

Assisting customers with product selection and providing knowledgeable advice about pools, spas and marine products

Processing sales transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale systems

Maintaining product displays and ensuring the retail space is clean, organised and visually appealing

Restocking shelves and managing inventory levels to ensure popular products are always available

Answering customer enquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner

Supporting the sales team with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry and record keeping

Learning about product features and benefits to provide accurate information to customers

Participating in promotional activities and sales initiatives as directed by management

What we're looking for

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour

Strong numerical ability for accurate processing of transactions and handling cash

Reliability and punctuality with the ability to work as part of a team

Basic computer literacy and comfort using retail point-of-sale systems





Customer service experience in a retail environment is highly desirable

Enthusiasm for learning about pool, spa and marine products and industry knowledge

Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift and carry products safely

A positive attitude and willingness to take on additional responsibilities
