About the Role
The Dealer Performance Specialist role enhances the performance of Ford's Dealer Network by providing essential data analysis, reporting, and tools to the Ford Field Team, Ford management, and Ford Dealers.
Working closely with the Ford field teams, the Dealer Performance Specialist will ensure data accuracy, monitor Dealer performance and action plans,
and develop processes to support Dealer performance improvement. The position acts as a vital link between data, strategy, and execution, empowering the Ford field team with insights while also ensuring accountability for driving Dealer sales and operational standards.
Ultimately, this role directly contributes to lifting the base performance of the Dealer network, improving outcomes for underperforming Dealers, and achieving significant sales growth for Ford Australia.
Reporting directly to the Dealer Network Performance Manager, this role is based in our Richmond, Victoria office with a hybrid working arrangement (4 days in-office). Occasional domestic travel is required to support our regional and interstate teams.
Dashboards & Business Intelligence
Develop, publish, and maintain regular Dealer network performance reports and interactive dashboards by integrating data from internal enterprise systems and external industry partners.
Data Integrity & Systems Management
Ensure data accuracy across systems, oversee database updates, and drive the development of new reporting features and analytical tools.
Dealer Trend Analysis & Action Planning
Analyse network performance metrics to identify trends, pinpoint underperforming dealerships, and track the creation and execution of tailored operational action plans.
Operational Processes & Performance Tools
Design, implement, and manage standardized operational processes and toolkits that equip the Ford Field Team to drive accountability and lift performance across the network.
Stock Planning & Allocation Insights
Monitor Dealer inventory levels, stock planning, and allocation take-up rates against sales objectives to identify potential supply chain or performance bottlenecks.
Executive Coordination & Strategic Governance
Facilitate strategic meetings with Ford Senior Management by preparing comprehensive performance packs, capturing minutes,
and tracking executive accountability for agreed action items.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner effectively with key internal stakeholders, field management, and external vendors to maintain seamless data flow, ensure tool functionality, and solve operational challenges collaboratively.
Education & Qualifications
Tertiary degree in Business, Data Analytics, Commerce, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
Dealer Retail Operations & Industry Insights
Deep operational grounding in retail sales workflows, financial metrics, and performance drivers. You possess a clear understanding of "what good looks like" in a high-performing dealership and know how to translate those insights into actionable network improvements. Prior field or dealership experience is preferred.
Data Analytics & Reporting
Proven proficiency in data analysis, reporting tools, and advanced Microsoft Excel. Exceptional ability to interpret complex datasets and translate them into clear, actionable commercial insights and action plans.
Process Design & Implementation
Demonstrated capability in designing, documenting, and embedding structured operational processes and governance frameworks.
Stakeholder Influence & Communication
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to present data-driven narratives effectively to diverse audiences, from field managers to senior executives.
Drive & Collaborative Execution
Highly organized with a proven track record of managing complex deliverables independently. Motivated by a genuine care for network performance, you actively work to set our field teams and dealer partners up for long-term operational success.
